Digital Citizenship
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This year, we are focusing on building a strong digital footprint. Every time anyone posts something online, it can be traced back to their name. Once it is posted, it could be there forever. To explain what is appropriate to post online, I tell the kids this:
You should never post anything online that you wouldn’t be comfortable showing your grandmother, teacher, or parents. Everything you do online creates a trail that leads back to you. Be sure you are always posting things and visiting sites to be proud of.
We will focus on 6 major rules to teach us about our digital footprint.

We will focus on 6 major rules to teach us about our digital footprint.
- I will make safe and appropriate choices while on my device.
- I will keep my private information private.
- I will be respectful of myself and others while on my device.
- I will never share my passwords.
- I will report any and all bullying I see while on my device.
- I will always give credit to sources I use.
